The Meeting of Stutton cum Hazlewood Parish Council is to be held on Wednesday 19 Ju;y 2023 at 20.00 .
Parish Councillors: You are hereby summoned to the meeting of Stutton cum Hazlewood arish Council on Wednesday 20 July 2023. If you are unable to attend please advise the clerk at least 3 days in advance of the meeting giving reasons for your absence.

Chairman welcomed councillors and visitors to the meeting; to remind visitors when comments may be made and that the public must not interrupt whilst the meeting is in progress. However, No members of the public present.

230704. Minutes of previous meeting
- Councillors to discuss and resolve whether to accept the 8 June minutes as an accurate record of the meeting.
- Chairman to sign the minutes if accepted. The council resolved to accept the minutes as an accurate record and the Chairman signed as accepted.
230705. Public Forum
To receive comments on agenda items and matters of community interest from electors present. For information only; clerk to note comments; no discussion between councillors and electors. No MOPs present.
230706. Administrative Matters
Replacement pads ordered and delivered. Cllr Spurrier reported back on the cost of paediatric pads. The council resolved to order these and Cllr Spurrier to make enquiries.
Darrington Quarries – correspondence regarding overspill on Moor Lane from lorries leaving Jackdaw Crag Quarry. Clerk has written to Darrington Quarries. Offer of a meeting received from Darrington, council to discuss and resolve who is to attend.Cllrs to discuss by email and let clerk know so she can inform the quarry manager.
Old London Road Quarry – Councillors to discuss whether any further action is necessary. Discussed extensively that the deadline set by NYCC has now passed.The council resolved that the clerk should contact Sam Till to query what the next steps should be since that deadline has passed
Tadcaster Neighbourhood Development Plan (circulated by clerk). The council resolved to discuss via email and forward comments to clerk for putting together and forwarding on.
Local Transport Plan survey (from NYCC) The deadline for comments has now passed but the council resolved to continue monitoring the situation.

230708. Audit – Audit has successfully taken place, clerk has circulated the documents for the council’s perusal. Council to discuss and authorise audit as complete. The council resolved to accept and authorise the audit.

Peggy Ellerton Farm ZG2023/0530/S73 – no further observations
Solar Farm update
ZG2023/0431/HPA erection of free standing timber orangery at Wingate House, 4 Sugar Hill Farm – update from clerk as to whether correct details have been provided. Noted that although the description is of a timber orangery but the materials listed are brick and glass. No further observations.

Underpass Lighting – ongoing. Clerk to check with Cllr Mackay regarding who he contacted regarding this.

Speed Limits – see correspondence note below, The council discussed correspondence from Nicholas Woods.
Website Upgrade – Cllr Heard to pursue. Clerk to send across last 2 years of minutes and agendas to Cllr Heard. Clerk to ask former Cllr Birchall to add missing agendas and minutes from previous year.
Clerk’s IT equipment – Cllr Heard to pursue, clerk and Cllr Heard to arrange a time to purchase the equipment.
230712 –Correspondence received
Response from manager at Jackdaw Quarry inviting representatives from the PC to a meeting. Clerk to ask for available dates.
Email from MOP regarding request to NYCC for a traffic mirror at Church Crescent Junction. Clerk to respond to MOP. it is part of a bigger problem concerning traffic, speeding etc which is being discussed with the police. Clerk to raise the concern over the tree branch.
230713. Village Hall Update – Cllr Spurrier reported on finances and bookings.
