Minutes of the Annual Stutton cum Hazlewood Parish Meeting held at 1900 hrs on May 11th 2017 at Stutton Village Hall.

APM 1701 – The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.
APM 1702 – The minutes of the Annual Parish meeting held on 12 May 2016 were approved and signed by the Chairman.
APM 1703 – Chairman’s Report
Cllr Fawcett reveiwed matters from this financial year. Items included:
1 At the Parish Council meeting on 12th May 2016 Cllr Fawcett was elected as Chairman for the coming year.
2 The Parish Council resolved to collect a precept of £9000 (in two instalments).
3 The Village was equipped with a defibrillator and a training event was held for villagers.
4 Number of planning applications viewed – 9.
5 The PC – and village – was in receipt of a generous donation of a flagpole.
6 Dog fouling an issue – Council resolved to fit 5 new bins – on order.
7 Adopted red phone box.
8 Exciting rare wild flowers growing locally and management plan in place. Parish Council resolved to part fund clearing of verges to allow them to flourish.
9 Replaced lighting under the underpass.
10 Refurbished benches at each side of the flyover.
11 Worked with a consultant to map future pathway for Village Hall use.
12 Began work to re establish a Village Hall Committee.
13 Commissioned a condition survey on the Village Hall.
14 Parish Council signed up to 20 is Plenty speed reduction initiative – results in 2017/8.
15 Other parish initiatives – bulb planting, fireworks, Battle’s Over WW1 commemorations.
APM 1704 To form the Sutton Village Hall Committee
It was proposed and resolved to form a Village Hall Committee for Stutton Village Hall by a show of hands from those present.
Nominations were invited and seconded and a Village Hall Committee was duly formed.
